Forewords

Dear Kristle and Ivan,

It was a real pleasure meeting you, getting to know you both, and discovering the story and potential of your home. This project carries a particular weight: it will be the first place you create from scratch together, and at the same time it holds deep emotional value as a property belonging to Crystal’s parents. The fact that you chose to bring such a personal, meaningful project to our studio is something for which we are genuinely grateful, and it makes us feel both honoured and fortunate to be considered.

As promised, I took some time after our meeting to study your property more closely, to understand how this project can be structured within our studio’s timelines, and to shape a proposal that allows you to make the most of this opportunity. The fact that you reached out at such an early stage is a real advantage: it gives us the time to approach the work calmly and carefully, with the level of attention, care, and affection that a project like this deserves.

This dashboard has been created exclusively for you and, if we decide to move forward together, it will become the central space for the development of your project from this point onward. It is a quiet, organised environment where all studies, documents, and references will live as your home takes shape. Here, each step can be followed clearly, and the architectural direction will gradually emerge, materialise into design, and ultimately be translated into construction, until we can celebrate the completed house together.

Our studio focuses primarily on high-quality residential work, and your project sits naturally within this niche. The scale, the emotional resonance, and the ambition to create a home with a clear and coherent identity align closely with the kind of architecture we most enjoy pursuing. At the same time, as explained during our meeting, our philosophy is to work on projects as a complete journey: from initial planning and early studies, through detailed design, interior definition, construction, and final finishes. This approach is not about “doing everything” for the sake of it, nor about stepping onto the work of other colleagues, but about protecting the integrity of the project and ensuring that every decision, at every stage, is made with the final result in mind.

By following the full arc of the work, we are able to keep control over the many small decisions that, over time, define the atmosphere and quality of your home. It allows us to coordinate construction, finishes, joinery and furnishing as a single narrative rather than as separate, fragmented tasks. In practical terms, this reduces hassle, miscommunication, and the risk of gaps between one consultant and another, which in turn protects your time, your energy, and your peace of mind.

For this reason, we prefer to take on fewer projects, but to follow each of them thoroughly. If this way of working feels aligned with what you wish for your home, we would be truly pleased to accompany you along the entire journey. Naturally, if you already have an ongoing collaboration with another architect, please know that this proposal is not intended to step on any existing professional relationship. Our intention is simply to share our vision and approach, should you feel it could bring value to your project.

If, for any reason, you feel that a different setup suits you better, we will remain just as grateful that you entrusted us with your time and with the story of this house.

With gratitude,

Arch. Damiano Meneguzzi and the team.
